Available in a range of sizes, weaves and thicknesses we have sheets of wet-lay carbon-fibre. Perfect for pannelling chassis, replacing existing fibreglass or alluminium panelling and (for the thicker panels) floors. Available in 1-2mm thicknesses and with a very high-gloss finish, typically used for panelling, door cards and more.
The sheets can be cut in sizes of up to 2300x1280mm, please enquire if your desired size is not listed and we will quote on your custom size. Available in 2x2 twill weave, kevlar, alutex or 1x1 harness.
The sheets can be made with a choice of layers, for example, you could have pure carbon/carbon, or alternatively, a carbon/epoxy layer mix. The difference in weight and strength between the epoxy and carbon layer is negligible but using an epoxy layer will reduce the overall material cost of the sheet.
When affixing kit-car panelling it is recommended to use black pop rivets (for aesthetic purposes) and Sikaflix.
We offer both pre-preg and wet-lay carbon-fibre sheets. The main differences being that the pre-preg sheets are typically 10-15% lighter and stronger than the equivelant wet-lay sheets (but typically 50% more expensive due to material and production costs).
